Great news! I have two talks accepted at FOSDEM 2025 dev rooms.
One talk is in the LLVM dev room and I’ll talk about my experiences from maintaining buildbots for upstream LLVM post-commit testing. I will cover some of the history from inheriting a single buildbot to, now, managing a fleet of different configurations across several machines. Things I found confusing, and lessons I learned.
The other talk is in the HPC dev room and there I’ll talk about the programming models that are at your disposal as part of the ROCm software stack. This one will cover the models, like HIP or OpenMP, the programming languages, like C++ or Fortran, and parts of the libraries, such as rocBLAS.
Check out the specific schedules at www.fosdem.org and navigate to the individual dev rooms. I may or may not post another short thing here, once all timing is ready.
